A little Christmas humor

JUSTONEMORE weekend edition

Before I post my Friday blog, I want to introduce this weekend’s guest blogger.  He is Charlie Wiles, a CrossPointer with another powerful story.

Some of you know Charlie & Connie’s story.  Many of you do not.  Charlie sent me a copy of his reflections last week.  After reading it, I knew immediately his story should be included in the JUSTONEMORE Weekend Edition.

So, remember to click here Saturday and Sunday.

Now for today’s blog; let’s spend the remainder of the month talking about Christmas.

Jesus’ Father’s Name

I love the way children interpret the birth of Christ.
A Sunday school teacher asked her class, “What was Jesus’ mother’s name?”
One child answered, “Mary.”
The teacher then asked, “Who knows what Jesus’ father’s name was?”
A little kid said, “Verge.”
Confused, the teacher asked, “Where did you get that?”
The kid said, “Well, you know they are always talking about Verge n’ Mary.”

Female Reindeerc6491-cutout

Here is some refreshing news according to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game:
While both male and female grow antlers in the summer each year, male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter usually late November to mid-December.  Female reindeer keep their antlers till after they give birth in the spring.  Therefore, according to every historical rendition depicting Santa’s reindeer, every single one of them, from Rudolph to Blitzen, had to be a girl.  We should have known.  Only women, while pregnant, would be able to drag a fat man in a red velvet suit all around the world in one night and not get lost!

Have a great weekend.

HAHAHAHAHA!! We all need to laugh!
Serious when necessary in doctrine and beliefs…
Funny in between, enjoying precious life.
That’s what sold us on CrossPoint in addition to the Holy Spirit drawing us.
Seriously, we were immersed in doctrinal comparisons of churches and intense prayer then we saw the Oct. 1 Sonseed blog post and were sold. Life’s too short to miss the funny stuff. Major on majors and minor on minors. It all comes out in the wash…ing by His blood.
Looking forward to the musical this Sunday:)
    Blessings to all!
